Fractal Leadership
Complexity is simplicity repeated. However complex you believe your situation or team or company is, chances are there are just a few simple things repeated.
Think of a fractal. You start with a triangle. That triangle sprouts triangles on its sides. Those new triangles sprout triangles on their sides. On and on it goes, the simple shape repeating until you end with something as complex as a mountain landscape. But at heart it is simply a triangle, repeated.
Are you facing an issue in your company or with your team? Finding it intractable? Break the complexity down. Look for what the few simple things are that are being repeated. Find the ‘triangle’. Once you’ve done that, your problem becomes simple.
