I attended the NTL Annual Meeting where these slides were presented together with Allan’s story of how he has experienced oxytocin in his life. This was a powerful prsentation. On a practical level, I am particularly interested in the speculation that the Storming stage of group development may be a natural way for groups to develop, but it may not be a necessary way for groups to develop. I have experienced the diminishing of the Storming stage when an effort is made to focus on creating the conditions for the release of oxytocin. What a wonderful thought that we don’t necessarily have to live in fear and operate from a fight/flight perspective.
